                                                                                                                  Kapamilya child wonders Mutya Orquia and Louise Abuel will join singer-actress Vina Morales in the ‘ Maya Aksaya’ episode of “Wansapanataym” this Saturday (March 3).

Mutya will portray the role of Maya, a little girl who has a hobby of wasting food. As Maya continues to take food for granted, a dwarf will cast a spell on her that will make every food she touches draw away from her. It was written by Noreen Capili and directed by Francis Pasion. Discover the value of blessings in another lesson-filledepisode of “Wansapanataym” this Saturday Night on ABS-CBN after “Kapamilya: Deal or No Deal.” 



“Masaya po ako na umarte po ulit sa T.V. Ngayon po wala po ako buntot, bata po talaga ako sa ‘Wansapantaym’,” Mutya shared.
Mutya will share the screen with Nash Aguas, Makisig Morales, Gloria Sevilla, and Khaycee Aboloc.
Directed by Francis Pasion and written by Noreen Capili, this Saturday’s episode of “Wansapantaym” will show the value of letting go. The story will revolve around Joy, a lonely child who finds comfort and companionship in her toys. When her big brother decides to throw away her playthings, the toys come to life and ask help from Joy. How will the little girl help the toys?
Meanwhile, “Wansapanataym” trounced GMA 7’s one-month old sitcom “Andres De Saya” according to Kantar Media last Saturday (June 25). The mentioned ABS-CBN Saturday series earned a 22.4% national rating versus GMA 7’s sitcom’s 14.8%.
“Wansapanataym” airs every Saturday on ABS-CBN after TV Patrol Weekend.






MANILA, Philippines - ABS-CBN's upcoming television series on hope, faith and love entitled "Mutya" will showcase the talent of new child star Mutya Orquia, said to be the newest "Marina."
Written by the late Pablo S. Gomez, "Mutya" tells the story of mermaids. A woman named Cordelia falls in love with a merman named Irvin, who happens to be the prince of the sea. But their love is not enough to withstand trials. Irvin is forced to marry another mermaid while Cordelia gives birth to their daughter "Mutya."
Aside from introducing Kapamilya's newest child actress, the series is also the comeback project of Alfred Vargas 7 years after he did his last ABS-CBN series "Hanggang sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan."
After her remarkable role in "May Bukas Pa," beauty queen-actress Precious Lara Quigaman is back on TV via "Mutya" as she plays the role of Cordelia.
Part of the powerhouse cast of "Mutya" are Malou Crisologo as Octupina, Sandy Andolong as Madam Delilah (mother of Cordelia), Tess Antonio as Ester, Gary Lim as Lolo Sheldon, and Pen Medina as Haring Merrick.
Entertainment journalist Ogie Diaz is also part of the newest series after his stint on "Momay."
Stars Nina Jose, Ahron Villena and Jairus Aquino are also included in the series.
"Mutya" is directed by Erick Salud and Jojo Saguin, and promises to give viewers an out-of-this-world under the sea adventure.
The 4-year-old Mutya will shower hope and love in "Mutya" starting Monday, January 31, on ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida.
The network's last TV series on mermaids was "Marina" in 2004 with Claudine Barretto in the lead role of Marina.
